The heritage timepiece brand held a stylish soiree in Sydney to celebrate the 85th birthday of its most well-known watch.
Iñigo Ohlsson, Managing Director of Jaeger-LeCoultre Australia & New Zealand, last night welcomed VIPs and guests toa black tie evening marking the 85th birthday of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s iconic Reverso watch.
Held at Rockpool, guests were greeted by polo players and a sumptuous five course meal, crowned with a Reverso inspired dessert. Those in attendance included Anthony Minichiello and Terry Biviano, John and Lara Eales, Tim Robards, major fashion editors and top watch collectors. Katie Noonan and her band serenaded the guests during the meal with a mix of original and Jazzy covers.
This year marks the 85th anniversary year of the Reverso, developed in 1931 at the request of British officers in the Indian Army reluctant to damage their watches during polo matches. The Reverso has since gone on to grace the wrists of queen’s, celebrities and collectors alike.
The Reverso remains the hero in a family that has evolved since Jaeger-LeCoultre’s founding in 1833, including collections such as Master, Rendez-Vous, Duomètre, Geophysic® and Atmos.
