Alfa Romeo Australia announces Giulia QV pricing…
Alfa Romeo Australia has announced that its beautiful looking Giulia QV sports sedan – on sale in Australia from February 16 – will be priced at $143,900.
More than 100 orders have already been taken in Australia for the car, which shows off Alfa Romeo’s famed Italian style chops married to a Ferrari-inspired twin-turbo V6 engine delivering 375kW and 600Nm.
Weight optimisation is also a key feature of the new sedan, with carbon fibre used extensively along with cutting-edge aerodynamics, resulting in the Giulia QV set a scorching laptime of 7min 32sec around the Nurburgring last September, making it the fastest four door production vehicle ever (see the Youtube clip below). The Giulia QV can accelerate from rest to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 305km/h.
The interior reeks of premium Italian style, including leather-wrapped surfaces featuring contrast stitching, along with aluminium and carbonfibre highlights. The leather and Alcantara front sports seats are eight-way, electrically adjustable, and generously bolstered to help occupants withstand the Giulia QV’s cornering prowess. A Harmon Kardon 14-speaker sound system and a bespoke 8.8-inch multimedia screen houses the entertainment system, satellite navigation and climate air-conditioning controls – easily accessed via a centrally mounted rotary dial with integrated handwriting recognition pad.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia QV will make its Australian debut at the Alfa Romeo Portsea Polo on January 14, 2017.
