The National Gallery of Victoria’s free Unplugged series returns from June 5-July 10.
Those magic words are the centrepiece of Unplugged Live from June 5 – July 10, 2016, which returns to the NGV Australia gallery spaces with ARIA Award-winning former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning, Hoodoo Gurus legend Dave Faulkner and rockers The Delta Riggs among the leading Australian musicians appearing.
The popular free event pairs musicians with notable local thinkers and artists for compelling discussions on creativity and intimate live performances. Acclaimed musician Dan Kelly and emerging talents Ali Barter and Julia Jacklin also appear in a program curated and hosted by Jae Laffer of The Panics.
“Through Unplugged Live, NGV celebrates the intersection of visual art and contemporary music.” says Tony Ellwood, Director, NGV. “We hope visitors will enjoy seeing live music acts in a gallery setting, and be inspired by lively conversations about the creative process.’
