One of Sydney’s most popular inner-city pubs has undergone a major facelift.
Over the years, Men’s Style has consumed many a beer in Surry Hills’ Dolphin Hotel – but it didn’t look much like this!
The first stage of the famous pub’s makeover opens today when drinkers are welcomed into the Public Bar. The new Dining Room and Wine Bar will open at a later date.The new bar will be the first in Australia with a premium house pour range of spirits mixed with quality, bottled Australian mixers, fresh fruit, ice and no post-mix.
Public Bar will also restore “The Pony” [140ml glass] for beer drinkers and be the first ever Australian venue outside of Tasmania to serve James Boags XXX Ale, a NSW exclusive.
Executive Chef Monty Koludrovic has overseen a counter meal menu focused on provenance-driven modern Italo-Australian food – steak and chicken, as well as Italian heroes such as spaghetti and pizza. The food and beverage menu is attempting to re-define the modern public bar
