The luxury jeweller opens its eighth location in Australia.
Men who are frequent travellers now have no excuse for returning home without a gift.
Famous New York jeweller Tiffany & Co has continued its Australian expansion with the opening of its eighth location in Australia, inside the T1 International terminal at Sydney’s Kingsford-Smith Airport.
“We are very excited to open our first airport store within Australia and especially within the newly designed Sydney International Airport,” said Glen Schlehuber, vice president and managing director of Tiffany & Co. Oceania. “We look forward to inviting everyone to experience our renowned jewellery collections, with a superior level of service that has distinguished Tiffany & Co. for over 175 years.”
The approximately 250 sq m store features an impressive six-metre double front façade in iconic Tiffany blue, a luggage room and salon for private appointments or to enjoy a glass of champagne from the store butler before travelling. Another feature is the large window that looks onto the tarmac that allows customers to watch the planes arrive.
The boutique’s design features are inspired by the New York flagship – gold leaf chandelier and interior wall covering, hand painted with a magnolia design, after the stained glass masterworks of Louis Comfort Tiffany, son of the company’s founder and a world leader of the Art Nouveau movement.
Among the collections in store is the Tiffany® Setting, the ultimate engagement ring; fancy coloured diamonds such as Tiffany Yellow Diamonds, among the rarest coloured diamonds; and the bejewelled masterpieces of Jean Schlumberger, sculptural jewellery of Elsa Peretti and bold creations of Paloma Picasso—Tiffany’s exclusive designers, who are among the most honoured in the world of fashion and jewellery.
