Fans of the stylish legal drama can rejoice – it’s back.
Currently showing in its sixth season in the US, cable network USA Network has just announced Suits has been renewed for a seventh season, making it the networks longest-running drama since its debut in 2011..
The Aaron Korsh drama set in a fictional New York law firm following the cases worked on by failed student Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). The current series is averaging 3 million total viewers and 1.1 million viewers among adults 18-39.
Macht as Specter, in particular, has developed a cult following as the slick, high flying playboy with a slightly sociopathic way of dealing with people and nice line in… suits, of course.
“When I see people on the street everyone is ‘Harvey Specter! Hey Harveyyy!”‘ Macht told the Sydney Morning Herald. “There was a guy in New York who was like, ‘I adore you, you’re my everything.’ And I was like, ‘Really? You adore the totally insecure guy who’s got to put people in their place in a really aggressive, angry way?”‘
