Corporate Britain’s worst example, David Brent, is back for one last crack at musical glory.
In David Brent, comedian Ricky Gervais created one of UK TV’s most memorable characters of the past couple of decades.
Hapless, clueless, mostly loathsome and unintentionally hilarious, what the manager of the Slough branch of paper merchants Wernham-Hogg always really wanted to be was a rock star.
Now, in mockumentary David Brent: Life On The Road, set 15 years after the events chronicled in The Office, we find Brent with his band Foregone Conclusion having on last crack at musical stardom as he travels Britain “gigging”.
“This film delves much more into his private life than The Office ever did and we really get to peel back the layers of this extraordinary, ordinary man,” says Gervais.
Check the new trailer below. The film opens in Australia on August 25. Personally, we can hardly wait…
