Beat the winter blues with the lux resort’s first food and wine event…
Sure it’s been an extended summer, but now that Game Of Thrones is back on we can be assured that winter is indeed coming.
But that doesn’t mean you’ve got to shiver over a bowl of stodge and a modest glass of shiraz.
Instead, consider treating yourself to four sun- and fun-filled days of eating, drinking and being merry at Lizard Island’s inaugural food and wine event, which runs from 17 to 21 May.
Located directly on the Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island is the most northern resort in tropical Queensland and offers 40 beautiful suites and 24 stunning white-sand beaches.
Visitors to the food and wine event will enjoy cooking and culinary experiences created by executive chef Mark Jensen and international guest chefs Rick Moonen and Markus Werner.
After a hard day spent sunning, swimming or snorkelling, guests will each evening enjoy a food and wine celebration with a different chef creating and hosting a dinner that reflects his personal and professional passion with complementary wines.
And, on the final night, guests will be treated to a degustation dinner designed and prepared by all three chefs matched with classic Australian wines.
The four-day package is priced from $10,856 per couple.
