A boutique hotel in the Sydney CBD with all the city’s attractions on the doorstep? It’s called Establishment Hotel.
Part of the Merivale precinct that encompasses the Establishment Bar, dining venues Mr Wong and Est, and bars Hemmesphere, Palmer & Co and Tank Stream Bar, the boutique Establishment Hotel is a beautifully finished stay offering almost immediate access not only to the aforementioned venues but all the best Sydney city has to offer.
Created inside a late 19th Century Sydney warehouse, Establishment Hotel takes its industrial beginnings as inspiration. There are two design themes employed throughout the 31 guest rooms (yes, we said boutique), generally described as either ‘dark’ or ‘light’. Men’s Style experienced the dark, Japanese-influenced room – exposed timber beams in high ceilings and dark timber floorings set against more contemporary chic industrial fittings of bluestone, marble and dark tiling in the bathroom. The furnishings offer pops of colour in reds and pinks and mood lighting enhances the overall loft life vibe.
For business travellers (Sydney’s financial district is literally around the corner) or those who merely want to be close to Sydney’s best CBD attractions for some weekend indulgence, checking in at Establishment Hotel is a wise option. You could spend a week just experiencing what Merivale’s Justin Hemmes has created in this part of town.
