Taste of Melbourne returns in November – a paradise on earth for the dedicated food lover.
Albert Park’s Pelican Lawn will transform into a foodie mecca this November as Taste of Melbourne in partnership with Electrolux returns with food prepared by beloved Victorian restaurants as well as newcomers.
Taste showcases the greatest Melbourne chefs and their signature dishes and festival exclusives, cherished local restaurants, engrossing cooking demonstrations, artisan producers, interactive masterclasses and live music performances all in a lakeside alfresco setting.
Scott Pickett of Estelle, Mamasita and its new venue Hotel Jesus, Andrew McConnell with Cumulus Inc., Frank Camorra of MoVida, Supernormal and the two hatted Royal Mail Hotel are some of the culinary stars visitors can sample from during the event.
For the first time, visitors will have the opportunity to cook alongside their favourite chefs and prepare their signature dishes as part of Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets. Following the hands-on masterclass, the meal will be enjoyed at a communal table with a glass of matched wine.
In addition, a refreshed Lurpak Cooking School is back by popular demand, there’s a dedicated citrus highball bar from Jim Beam, and Etihad Airways will present a First Class virtual reality experience.
Beer lovers are catered for with the Mediterranean Taste Bar courtesy of Estrella Damm and Cumulus Inc.
Attendees will also get the chance to sip, sample and shop a range of premium food and beverages from 100 of Melbourne’s finest producers, handpicked especially for the event.
