Inspired by the famous Burberry Heritage Trench Coat, Mr Burberry is a bold and versatile new fragrance for men.
Master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian combined with Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey to create Mr Burberry, a men’s fragrance which
captures the essence of London – traditional yet irreverent, elegant without being pristine.
With a sexy campaign film directed by director-of-the-moment Steve McQueen and starring British actor/musician Josh Whitehouse and actor/model Amber Anderson, Mr Burberry suits the man who needs a scent to see him through everything he does in a day.
A sensual herbal woody eau de toilette, the fragrance fuses classic scents of British perfumery with unexpected ingredients, opening with notes of crisp zesty grapefruit, cut with a seductive base of earthy vetiver and smokey guaiac wood. “The ingredients echo classic British male perfumery – tarragon, birch leaf, cedar and vetiver,” writes our Grooming Editor Elisabeth King in the Winter issue of Men’s Style, on sale Monday, May 9.
Cleverly, the bottle ties back to most iconic product in the world of Burberry – the Heritage Trench Coat, with its signature design details. The weighted cap references horn-look buttons, while a hand-tied knot in English-woven black gabardine sits around the neck, celebrating the innovative fabric invented by Thomas Burberry more than 100 years ago. Appropriately, Whitehouse wears the Chelsea fit Heritage Trench Coat form the new ready-to-wear collection in the campaign film.
And as with the Heritage Trench coat, those who opt for Mr Burberry can personalise their bottle by having up to three initials engraved on the bottle via burberry.com and selected Burberry stores. Users will also be able to monogram their own virtual Mr. Burberry bottle within interactive advertising and share it on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
