Cartier, the Maison famous for watches and high jewellery, demonstrates its expertise in another area: men’s fragrance.
Cartier’s new fragrance for men, L’Envol de Cartier, celebrates the pioneering spirit within as typified by one of the Maison’s most revered legends, aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont.
Created by Cartier perfumer Mathilde Laurent, the woody, nectar-like scent is also inspired by the mythical ambrosia of the gods on Olympus, believed to confer immortality. Robust yet also mellow, a honeyed scent contrasted with the resin qualities of Gaiac wood bestow a uniqueness to this ambrosial fragrance.
Firmly within the Cartier design aesthetic, the bottle itself is an object of beauty – a capsule contained within a detachable glass dome. The capsule can be carried independently, a contemporary object with dual functionality. The high-design refillable bottle is a precious object that keeps with Cartier’s long stylistic and creative tradition.
