The world’s most famous photographer shoots the new Spring / Summer 2017 advertising for chic French outwerwear brand Moncler.
Chinese artist Liu Bolin – known within the Art world as the “Invisible Man”, who shot to fame with a series of self-portraits focused on fusion and the dissolving of the body into a surrounding area is the subject for renowned American photographer Annie Leibovitz in her new campaign for stylish French outerwear brand Moncler.
The Spring/Summer 2017 campaign presents images transformed into a chameleon-like camouflage which eliminates any certainty of reality. Only the silhouette of Bolin’s body is visible against backdrops.
Transparency is a clear focus for Spring / Summer 2017, with figures unidentifable against backdrops themed around the green hues of New York’s Central Park and an NYC bookshop – both locations selected to best communicate the versatility of Moncler and it’s product, as well as adventure, nature, and the French-Italian brand’s iconic and metropolitan spirit.
Moncler was founded in 1952 and is renowned for combining style with constant technological research assisted by experts in activities linked to the world of the mountain. The Moncler outerwear collections marry the extreme demands of nature with those of city life.
