Taste-making style magazine Monocle continues its multi-platform expansion with the launch of a menswear collection.
Monocle was launched as a monthly magazine by Tyler Brule (below) in 2007 with a focus on international affairs, design, business, travel, culture and style but in recent years it has broadened its brand to include travel guides, a 24-hour radio station, a website, retail ventures and cafés in Tokyo and London, as well as international bureaux in New York, Toronto, Istanbul, Singapore, Tokyo, Zürich and Hong Kong.
Now it launches Voyage, a menswear collection directed at the international traveller. Designed by Japanese designer Masatoki Sato, the capsule collection is for the travelling gent “who looks for high standards of comfort and functionality”.
Pieces include a crisp Oxford shirt in white, blue or navy, a travel jacket in a Japanese anti-crease wool blend fabric ideal, cropped trousers, chino trousers, shorts, an all-rounder jacket and a light weight shirt, all in premium Japanese fabrics.
For the Monocle fans you can view and buy the collection at monocle.com and all Monocle retail outlets.
