Make the Burberry trench your own

Give your Burberry Heritage Collection trench coat the personal touch with the brand’s new monogramming service.

The trend to personalisation, be it clothing or watches, fragrance or motoring, continues apace. As Winter arrives, thoughts turn to outerwear once more for those days when the wind howls and the rain falls. Specifically, our thoughts turn to one of Burberry’s iconic made-in-England Heritage Trench Coats, the ultimate versatile Winter coat, able to be dressed up or down and adaptable whether it’s cold or unseasonably warm.

This season Burberry introduces monogramming to its range of trench coats, allowing consumers to embrace the increasingly popular practice of customising those things we love. Either in store or via a special online tool at or at the Australian site, customers can add up to three initials in a selection of 15 thread colours, the embroidery positioned below the inner buttonhole and centred on the internal facing panel that sits closest to the body on the double-breasted trench coat when the coat is closed.

For men, the Heritage Collection styles include The Chelsea narrow fit, the Sandringham slim fit, the Kensington modern fit, the Westminster classic fit, and the Wiltshire modern fit with raglan sleeves. Each coat is still made in Castleford, England, where expert workers combine traditional techniques with modern technology through more than 100 highly skilled processes.

In doing so they continue a 100 years old evolution of the Burberry Trench Coat, which at its heart is the story of the tightly woven gabardine cloth invented by Thomas Burberry in 1879 which revolutionised rainwear.

The Heritage Trench Coat Collection is available in four fits and in five colours for women and children: Honey, Stone, Black, Navy and Parade Red; and four colours for men: Honey, Stone, Black and Navy.
