The artisanal Italian luxury brand introduces its Spring Summer 2017 collection in Milan.
The tradition and quality of Italian craftsmanship is always front and centre of a new Tod’s collection and such is the case with the Spring Summer 2017 men’s range recently presented in Milan.
The subtle graphics of artist Mark Rothko are the inspiration behind the treatment of Tod’s icons, with hand-treated skins and experimental coatings nuancing black to sand, blending grey and mud, dark brown and other earth colours. A crafted coating used throughout the new collection produces a velvety, aged effect on the leather.
Tod’s signature gommino sneaker is rendered in brushed suede in a number of new versions. The tumbled leather envelope bag with a gommino-finish bottom, opens or closes with or without a zip and is worn on the hand or on the shoulder.
The collection’s ready-to-wear element sees the pash coating employed in the field jacket, bomber and biker. leather garments with a cosmopolitan and contemporary cut.
