Fans of the dynamic Italian brand have a new must-stop destination in our Southern capital.
Gucci has announced the completion of its expansion of its 161 Collins Street, Melbourne store. Now covering 4,520 square feet devoted to the complete collection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, jewellery and accessories, the Melbourne store will also incorporate the Gucci DIY service, which allows customers of the House to express themselves through the personalisation of selected products.
Inspired by British punk and the idea that anyone can be a musician or fashion designer, Gucci DIY embodies the new direction of the House, promoting self-expression and individuality.
The interior design of the Collins St store features soft elements like velvet armchairs offset against harder surfaces and industrial elements, such as rivets. In keeping with the elegant and contemporary eclecticism that characterizes Gucci’s new collections, the store sees the combination of traditional and modern, industrial and romantic. The concept complements the product offering from Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele, whose Gucci Prefall 2017 collection will be one of the first available in the new space.
