The more mature and elegant sibling of H&M, COS, has opened its first store in Australia’s west, in the Perth suburb of Claremont.
The Perth store joins the boutiques the Swedish brand has opened at The Strand and Chadstone in Melbourne, and Martin Place and Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney over recent years. Offering the full menswear, womenswear and children’s collections, the new COS store provides a new option for Perth fans of its minimalist, easy-wearing aesthetic in soft tones.
Set over 435sqm, the store on Claremont’s Bayview Terrace store has preserved the building’s original architectural features, with recessed entrance doors and canted bay windows, alongside a modern interior updated to create a dynamic yet timeless space.
Currently the new store stocks the SS17 collection, inspired by romantic and airy utility and soft graphic precision meeting modern craft. The palette features accents of steel blue, slate, sage and pale terracotta.
“We are pleased to continue our expansion in the Australian market with this new addition to our store portfolio and are delighted to bring our brand to Western Australia,” said Marie Honda, Managing Director of COS. “Since our launch in Melbourne in 2014, we have received a very positive reception in the market and we hope the new store will allow our customers to explore COS in a great new setting.”
