The first Sydney store for the great British designer has opened in Sydney CBD’s Westfield complex.

Measuring 135 square metres, the new Paul Smith Sydney store follows the opening of his first Australian store in Collins St, Melbourne in 2012.

Local fashion media attended the official opening in the store during the week, taking in a curated selection of clothing, shoes and accessories for men, with a focus on lightweight tailoring featuring cotton and linen wool blends, unstructured and soft in a wide range of Italian cloths: silk flannels, blurred checks, knitted wools and indigo seersucker. Iconic Paul Smith designs feature alongside a cactus embroidered shirt, knitwear that nods to Paul’s love of cycling and paisley and prints from the Autumn/Winter 16 catwalk.

As with the Melbourne store, a highlight for customers will be the chance to peruse the eclectic picture wall made up of artworks, objects and things Paul has been sent alongside a range of found objects and art for sale including a table by Edward Wormely and artworks by artists including British artist Aaron Kasmin and Danish artist, Allen Schmidt.
