Special Issue: Men’s Style Classic Edition No.2

Categories Events

Our annual special edition celebrating the best of menswear and the modern man’s lifestyle has arrived!

Last year we released our first Classic Edition, a collectible publication on beautiful stock which serves as a manual on fashion, grooming, accessories and lifestyle for the contemporary man. Now our Classic Edition No.2 book is available, a companion to the first magazine that showcases classic suiting, beautiful accessories, statement watches, category-defining cars, icons of modern style and features on men who embody all of the above. Some of the highlights of Classic Edition No.2 include:

#SQUADGOALS

In association with Harrold’s, Australia’s luxury department store, we gathered together some of Australia’s most prominent social media menswear influencers for lunch at Sydney’s East Village to discuss what they do, how they do it, and what’s next in the space.

OFFICE HOURS

Whether you’re portraying sober-minded accountant or dressed-up-for-the-day creative, there’s a suiting look for every man… and every gent still needs a suit.

ESSENTIAL KIT

The world of men’s accessories is an ever expanding one, rich with beautiful and functional pieces to make life on the go just that bit easier. Shot at Intercontinental Double Bay, Sydney.

THE MAKING OF A MODERN PROPERTY TYCOON

Rapidly rising young Australian property developer Tim Gurner made a media splash earlier this year by saying millennials will never own their own home because of a love of smashed avocado and takeaway coffees, but as he tells Darren Lines, his comments were inspired by a genuine concern for housing affordability in this country.

THE GENTLEMAN’S CHOICE

In a world of ‘athleisure’ and increasing informality of dress, is the age of the elegant dress watch over? Elisabeth King argues that the modern gent should always have a timepiece that will go with a formal suit ready in the watch box. Plus, extended brand stories on a select group of watchmakers…

THE MODERN CLASSICS

Put a piece of four-wheeled nostalgia in your driveway without a cross-ply tyre, three-on-a-tree gearlever or a carburettor in sight, as Jez Spinks picks 10 classic motors of the modern era.

THE CUBE

In the heart of South Australia’s famed McLaren Vale wine region, all everyone is talking about is the striking glass ‘Rubik’s Cube’ that has appeared on the hill at the long-established d’Arenberg winery.

MODERN HISTORY

Urbane, cool and contemporary, the Wolf Kanat brand also has a rich Australian history going back to 1926.
