The heritage British brand celebrated its most famous garment at its newly expanded store at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne.
To think of Burberry is to think of its founder Thomas Burberry’s most famous creation, the trenchcoat.
The heritage and evolution of this famously versatile garment is currently being celebrated in Burberry’s newly refurbished store at Chadstone Shopping centre, Melbourne, with an in-store exhibition showcasing the expert craftsmanship that goes into creation of the Burberry trench, until May 21.
The experience includes a display of Burberry gabardine, the enduring weatherproof fabric from which the Burberry trench coat is made, trench coat imagery from the Burberry Archive, replica Burberry Archive garments and trench coats from past runway collections showcasing the evolution of the trench coat over the years.
A special cocktail event in store this week marked the beginning ot he exhibition, with 80 guests including Megan Hess, Jess Dempsey, Mavournee Hazel, Nadia Bartel, Olympia Vallance and Rebecca Harding.
The experience is open to all at the Burberry store at Chadstone Shopping Centre during store opening hours until 21 May. Burberry, Chadstone Shopping Centre, 1341 Dandenong Road.
