Men’s Style was at the lunch held by the cult French watch brand with a growing presence in Australia to celebrate its Baselworld 2017 releases.
We were lucky enough to see the Bell & Ross pieces at Baselworld back in March (some of which were reviewed in our current Winter issue) so it was like reuniting with old friends when the design-focused brand staged a lunch on a stunningly beautiful winter’s day at Sydney’s famous Quay restaurant for key media to view the collection.
Bell & Ross’ Jean-Christophe Chevrier flew from Europe to offer insight into some of the new pieces, including the much discussed BR-X2 Tourbillion Micro-Rotor – “the movement is the watch, the watch is the movement” – as well as the rapid ascent of the brand’s profile in Australia, including a standalone boutique in Melbourne’s The Block Arcade and high visibility at 8th Avenue Watches boutiques.
Lion Brands founder Graeme Goldman, the distributor of the brand in Australia, also welcomed guests by discussing his love of Bell & Ross’ unique proposition within the marketplace. Customarily, Graeme also wore a Bell & Ross on each wrist.
